General Rules

1.) There will be a $10 entry fee via PayPal or Venmo. The Knockout Tournament will begin on Monday, February 24th. Only 1 entry per person.

2.) The Knockout will be played with a 32 player single-elimination bracket. Sign ups will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Volute is required for all participants.

3.) Bracket placement will be randomized on a live stream once the player list is finalized.

4.) Matches will be played on MSL Servers with the following setup:
– MSL Sniper Mod
– No grenades
– Stalingrad Free-For-All

5.) Payout Structure:
– $320 Total
– $100 to MSL
1st Place: $150 + buy backs
2nd Place: $50
3rd Place: $20

6.) Players must play with the name registered on the Tournament roster.


Match Play

1.) Ground-only + airshots format – Players only have 30 seconds to drop to the ground. Players must make an effort to make their way to the ground within 30 seconds of spawning. This will be monitored by tournament officials and warnings will be given upon first offense. Once a player reaches the ground they cannot go back up. Top boiler and boiler stairs ARE in play. Southside wooden stairwell does not count as ground.

2.) The first player to 15 kills TWICE will advance in the tournament. A player must win by 2 rounds (best of 3 to 15).

3.) If a player begins any round 10-0 their opponent is immediately knocked out


Buy Backs

1.) Eliminated players have the option to attempt a $10 buy back by challenging the player who just eliminated them to an immediate rematch. Original winner may accept or decline this challenge. If accepted and the original winner wins again, the buy back cash goes directly to them. If the challenger wins the buy back match, the additional $10 is put towards the tournament bag (1st place winnings). Whichever player wins the buyback match advances as normal.


3rd Place FFA Battle Royale

1.) Prior to the 1v1 final, eliminated players who advanced to the bracket round of 16 (excluding both players in the final) will compete in a Stalingrad FFA Battle Royale to determine 3rd place. Full map in play (no ground only).

2.) First player to reach 30 kills TWICE out of 3 rounds will take 3rd place.

3.) If 3 separate players win each of the 3 rounds to 30 (no one wins 2 of 3), all 3 players will face off in a 1v1v1 deathmatch, first to 30. Ground only + air shots.

4.) The two players set to play in the final are welcome to compete in the battle royale as a warm up, but cannot earn a 3rd place win.


Match Scheduling

1.) Tournament will begin on Monday, February 17th, with first round matches taking place simultaneously on both Monday and Tuesday evenings.

2.) Players are asked to be available on one of the 2 sets days for each bracket round.

3.) 5 day limit per round, forfeits will be in play for those not available to complete their matches in time.

4.) Each bracket round can only begin once all matches from the previous round have been completed.


Broadcasting

1.) Matches will be shoutcasted in live channels with guest appearances.

2.) Participants will be asked to answer a series of MoHAA related questions upon tournament entry, which will be used to add further depth to the call of each match.

3.) Casts will be focused on player history, appreciation of individual MoHAA playstyles, and player status within the MSL.


Knockout Records

1.) MSL will keep a running tally of each players’ 1v1 tournament all time record (ATR), as well as a medal case for each player and season.

2.) ATR, medals, seasons played, career winnings.


Tournament Officials

1.) Tournament officials must be present during matches to run rcon, enforce rules, and monitor/record score.
